Manny's Chop House:

• Number 1 local restaurant on Trip Advisor
• Turn left onto US27 at Southern Dunes lights, then  right just after the second set of lights.
• Our favourite restaurant for a superb atmosphere, succulent steak plus good value for money. Happy hour 4 to 7pm every day plus 'buy one get one free' fajita meal every Wednesday. Great menu with lots of choice plus the air conditioning is not set to freeze.  Gorgeous steaks, the house salad is tossed in front of you and you can also indulge in starters and sweets. Ring ahead, they'll put your name on the list, as it gets very busy: (863) 422-3910.

Sonny's Barbeque Pit:

• Turn left onto US27 at Southern Dunes lights, then  right at the second set of lights. 
• Great value for money including the jugs of draft beer.
• Feast for Four $44 - pork, beef, chicken, and sweet & smokey ribs or classic dry rub ribs, plus your choice of three sidekicks, garlic bread or homemade cornbread, and four signature sweet teas or soft drink.

The Outback Steakhouse:

One of our favourite eating-places is the Outback where we all enjoy a Blooming Onion for starters and the House Steak, chicken and pasta.  There are quite a few restaurants,  Formosa Gardens on 192,  the back of Orlando Premium Outlets (great shopping) but in busy periods it can involve a long wait, so we were pleased to find out the local town of Winter Haven (around 10/15 mins drive) also has a restaurant and you usually get a table  straight away (take first right, after Mannys, but before flyover bridge, follow route to Winter Haven – it is well sign posted). 

In addition, Pizza hut, Red Lobster, Longhorn Steakhouse, Carrabba's Italian Grill, and The Olive Garden, plus another Manny's are based in Winter Haven.

Other popular restaurant, with outside seating, is Harborside on 7th Ave, Tanners, 1006 S Lake Howard Dr both in Winter Haven, FL.

Port 27 Brewery  - Lake Hamilton - Turn left on US27 and follow road for 6 miles https://www.port-27.com/brewing-co 

The Cracker Barrel: Turn right at Southern Dunes lights, head straight down US27 for around 15 minutes. A few minutes after the flyover for the I4. Good, old fashion cooked foods, no alcohol sold.

The Cheesecake Factory: The Millenia Mall, Orlando  I4 turn off 78  and Premium Outlets on I4. 11602 Regency Village Dr, Orlando, FL 32821 (near premium outlets). So much more than cheescake....although that's amazing. But before you get to the cheesecake you have 100s of options for starters, mains and light lunch.

Bahama Breeze: Nice menu, happy hour 4 to 6.  Themed restaurant with outside sitting. A few in the area visit website: bahamabreeze.com

The Olive Garden: Great Italian restaurant with nice layout. All you can eat breadsticks/ salad or soup. A few in the area including a new one at Champions Gate. Visit website for details.

The Antique Barn  (10 mins drive)  turn left at Kentucky Fried Chicken: A local favourite where you can picnic on the porch, has a large Antique store but also sells handbags, items for the home and garden plus gifts.
